For something as important as your fingerprint card and ID copies, you should pay for a tracked international courier rather than standard postal mail. A standard post can take a long time and offers little visibility once your package leaves Indonesia.

What to Keep Copies of Before You Mail Anything

Before you seal the envelope and send it off, make copies or scans of everything you are sending. You mainly need these copies so you can quickly resend documents or start a fresh application. There’ll be no need to start the entire fingerprinting process in case your package is delayed, lost, hampered, or rejected due to a form issue.

• A clear photo or scan of the completed fingerprint card.
• Copies of your passport and any other ID used.
• A copy of the signed consent form.
• A copy of the completed application form.
• Proof of payment or receipt for the fees paid.
• The courier tracking number and receipt.

After your fingerprint card and documents reach the accredited company in Canada, the actual digital process begins. This step happens entirely on the Canadian side, so there is nothing more for you to do in Bali except wait and stay reachable in case they need clarification.

1. The accredited company checks your fingerprint card for quality.
