Two schedules in Kuala Lumpur, two legalisation queues
- Week 1Separate appointments in Mont Kiara.
Daniel goes on a Tuesday. Grace's earliest slot is a fortnight later, around their daughter's school run.
- Week 6Authentication step skipped.
Daniel's result arrives without U.S. authentication, so the Malaysian embassy cannot legalise it as it is.
- Week 10Originals posted back.
His certificate goes back to Washington for authentication, then waits its turn at the embassy.
- Week 20Grace's file overtakes his.
Hers is legalised first. By the time his is ready, her clearance is older than the MM2H file allows.
- Week 26Application on hold.
Five courier runs, two print sessions, and an MM2H file paused for half a year.
One condo visit in Kuala Lumpur, both files aligned
- Day 1Both printed in Bangsar.
Daniel and Grace each give an FD-258 and a C-216C, and every finger is checked before the associate leaves.
- Week 1Washington and Toronto, same day.
Our U.S. office submits both FD-258 cards to the FBI, and Globeia Incorporated sends both C-216C forms through the RCMP-accredited route.
- Week 4Authentication ordered as results land.
Authentication from the U.S. Department of State and Global Affairs Canada, with all four files side by side in Globeia SmartPortal.
- Week 6Embassy legalisation in sequence.
Each certificate then goes to the Malaysian Embassy in Washington or the High Commission in Ottawa.
- Week 9Filed together.
One invoice. All four documents are legalised, in English, still valid, and in the MM2H file together.
