Two diaries in Melbourne, two forms, two deadlines
- Week 1Two sessions, a week apart.
Hamish gets printed in Carlton. Sophie is teaching in Brunswick that week, so she books for the following Saturday.
- Week 5One card smudged.
Hamish's FD-258 comes back unreadable. The school's start date does not move.
- Week 9Certificates land out of sequence.
Sophie has both certificates. Hamish's reprint is still somewhere between Melbourne and Washington.
- Week 18A certificate goes stale.
The school's HR team asks for more recent documents, and Sophie's first result no longer counts.
- Week 22Term starts without them.
Five print sessions, four couriers, and someone else starting the semester in Singapore in their place.
Both printed at home in Melbourne, together
- Day 1One visit in Hawthorn.
Each of them gives an FD-258 and a C-216C while their son is at school, and every print is checked on the spot.
- Week 1Cards split by country.
The FD-258 cards fly to Globeia in Washington, DC. The C-216C forms go to Globeia Incorporated for the RCMP-accredited route.
- Week 3Two files, one screen.
Both files sit together in Globeia SmartPortal, so neither gets ahead of the other.
- Week 6Results line up.
All four certificates arrive within days of each other, issued in English with nothing to translate.
- Week 7Sent to the school together.
One invoice. Every certificate is still recent on the day the school applies for their Employment Passes.
