Work Globally. Stay Local in Madrid.

Madrid moves fast - but the paperwork rarely keeps up. Long queues at ministries, fragmented services across different offices, and documents returned for missing stamps turn a simple task into a month-long ordeal. That's where Globeia Madrid comes in.

We're your partner for professional ink fingerprinting, international Criminal Record Check coordination, apostille support, and sworn Spanish translations - all managed through one coordinated process.

Unlike agencies that take your fingerprints and send you elsewhere, Globeia Madrid operates as one integrated network. Ink fingerprints are collected here in Madrid. FBI fingerprinting cards are submitted by Globeia Inc. in USA. Whereas fingerprinting cards for RCMP Criminal Record Checks goes to Globeia Incorporated - our RCMP-accredited office in Toronto - for submission to the RCMP's RTID system from within Canada.

Mobile Fingerprinting in Madrid

Forget about long queues at police stations. With Globeia, a trained associate comes to you, whether you're working in a coworking space in Gran Vía, living in Salamanca, or staying near Retiro Park.

All fingerprinting in Madrid is captured using the ink-and-roll method on the official paper cards FD-258 or FD-1164 for the FBI, C-216C for the RCMP. Each impression is reviewed for clarity and completeness before the card is sealed for courier. Upon completion of your fingerprinting appointment, you receive Globeia’s Letter of Identity Verification with an encrypted QR code, to prove authenticity of the fingerprints.

FBI Identity History Summary

Your fingerprints are captured by our trained associate in Madrid and couriered to Globeia Inc. in USA, which handles onward submission to the FBI. The FBI independently processes the submission and issues the Identity History Summary. FBI processing times are determined by the FBI and depend on citizenship status, application volume, and current processing conditions. Typical timelines are approximately 1-3 business days for U.S. citizens and around 2-3 weeks for non-U.S. citizens, excluding international courier time.

Globeia Madrid handles accurate ink fingerprinting locally, with submission managed by our office abroad.

RCMP Criminal Record Check

We coordinate Canadian Criminal Record Check submissions using ink fingerprints collected in Madrid. The completed C-216C card is couriered to Globeia Incorporated in Toronto - our RCMP-accredited office - which digitizes and submits the fingerprints to the RCMP's RTID system from within Canada. The RCMP independently processes the submission and issues the Criminal Record Check. Processing times are determined by the RCMP and currently range from 3 to 120 days, excluding international courier transit.

Note: Globeia Madrid is not accredited by the RCMP. RCMP accreditation is held exclusively by Globeia Incorporated in Toronto, Canada. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police does not accredit private fingerprinting companies outside Canada and has no relationship with Globeia Madrid.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Please feel free to contact us for anything if you don't find answers to your questions.

Start with ink fingerprints on an official FD-258 or FD-1164 card collected in Madrid. Globeia Madrid coordinates the FBI submission through the USA office and manages the process through to your Identity History Summary. Once issued, we can also handle US apostille coordination and sworn Spanish translation- all as one coordinated service.
Usually both, depending on what your consulate or immigration lawyer is asking for. The Spanish antecedentes penales covers your record in Spain. The FBI Identity History Summary covers your US record. They are completely separate documents issued by different authorities and one cannot substitute for the other. If your residency application specifically requests a US background check, only the FBI version will be accepted.
Yes, mobile fingerprinting is available across Madrid. A Globeia associate comes to your home, office, or coworking space, or you can visit our Castellana office if preferred.
Almost certainly not for residency or visa applications. Spanish authorities require a traducción jurada- a sworn translation completed by an official translator recognised by Spain's Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores. A regular translation or one done by an unrecognised translator will be rejected. Globeia works with MAEC-recognised traductores jurados who certify translations specifically for Spanish immigration and legal use.
Yes. If you already have your FBI result, Globeia can coordinate the apostille through the US Department of State and the sworn Spanish translation through a Ministry-recognised translator without restarting the fingerprinting process. Just share your existing report when you book and the team will advise on the next steps specific to your situation.
It depends on what the requesting authority has asked for. Spain is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, so if a Canadian criminal record check is being submitted to a Spanish authority like an immigration office, court, or employer, an apostille issued by Global Affairs Canada is generally required. The translation requirement depends on whether the receiving authority requires a Spanish-language version. Confirm the exact requirements with whoever is requesting the document before starting.
Yes. FINRA registration requires ink fingerprints on compliant cards which are then submitted through your sponsoring firm in the US. Globeia collects your ink prints in Madrid at our Castellana office or at your workplace and returns the completed cards to you or your firm's compliance team for submission through your member firm's FINRA registration process. You do not need to travel to the United States.
Low-quality prints, missing details, or incorrect card types. Globeia reduces this risk by reviewing fingerprints in Madrid before they are sent abroad.
US citizens usually need an FBI Identity History Summary, while Canadians or former Canadian residents need an RCMP Criminal Record Check. In most cases, both documents must be apostilled and translated into Spanish. Globeia Madrid coordinates fingerprinting, apostille, and sworn translation for both processes through one point of contact.
